The Environmental Meister: A system that Minamata City certifies a producer who makes environment-friendly and healthful things. Many of the storytellers of our museum is certified as the Environmental Meister, and presenting here their products.

They make soaps from waste oils without an antiseptic or antioxidant, which is safe for environment and human, including sea and river.
They use Moso-bamboo, Niga-bamboo, Horai-bamboo, kozo, oriental paper-bush, hemp, rush grass, onion skin, kenaf, etc.
They grow all tea leaves without pesticides, and make green tea, black tea, Hojicha, oolong tea, etc. and sell them.
Mr.Ogata makes Kokeshi(wooden dolls) and woodworks made of trees which grow on the reclaimed land in Minamata Bay. The woodworks embodies his prayers.
Ms. Yoshinaga creates various craft products using used bottle separated by citizens.
